The second persons blog I read was Chis Allen. I learned that he is taking this class to fill general education requirements and that the online format fits into his busy work schedule. I learned that by becoming the Minister of Education in Sao Paulo he was able apply his teaching to over seventy percent of Brazil's schools. I also learned that he tought at the American Universities of Cambridge and Havard. I was reminded that Paulo Freire was a man who thought of education has helping people make more educated choices that would improve the quality of their lives.
By looking at our education from Paulo's perspective it will help us in our humanities study by allowing us to open our minds to look at things from outside box, so to say. This perspective I hope will challenge me to look at things in my world as a learning experience rather than place that is passing me by or where I just keep dancing to the tune being played by others.
