2. Why are you taking this class and what do you hope to learn.
I am taking this class to further my awareness of human expression. I hope to learn better ways to express myself. I also hope to learn ways that my clients can express themselves. I am also excited to learn how the forms of expression have changed throughout history.

8.8 miles

4. What do you think of when you think "California"? Does this differ from what non-Californians think and if so, how?
When I think of California I think of a cultured, free-thinking, and wealthy state. I think of a place where many different kinds of people can come together to make big differences. I think of a green Eco-friendly place where almost everyone does there part to keep California beautiful .
Growing up in Ohio when I would think of California I thought of freedom. Freedom to be who you are. Freedom from conformity, racism, and economic troubles. I thought of the beautiful scenery such as the beaches, the mountains, and the redwoods forests. Although many people that I knew from Ohio, did not think of California this way. My father for example thinks that California is just a place for yuppie liberals and gays. He thinks that California is too expensive and that everyone there is a hippie or a Hollywood star.
I believe the main difference between the way that people think of California is that when non- Californians think of Califorinia they think of flamboyant lifestyles, money, and fame. When Californians think of California they think of the progressive thinking and the culture.

Kinda, this is different than myspace though.
